All surfers, regardless of skill level, are welcome to join the Pacific Beach Surf Club and share in the aloha spirit. We hold monthly club meetings, occasional surf clinics, holiday parties, special events, surf trips, donate to local charities and put on an annual surf contest at Tourmaline Surfing Park called the "Summer Longboard Classic." But being a member is so much more: camaraderie with the local surf community and a growing appreciation for the natural environment that provides us our waves we love so much.

Surfers at the expert level, both longboard and shortboard, are encouraged to join our competition team and compete with us in the seven major Coalition of Surfing Clubs tournaments held each year. Over the past decade, the team has always placed in the top 10. Twice we have come in third. This past year (2011) the club finished 4th out of the Coalition's 10 most active clubs.
